The Cold Dead of the Florida Winter...

Doesn't stop the SoundVine from growing and slinking up the side of your house and cracking the foundation with blistering riffs.  May be I'm reaching on that one but hopefully you get the pic...ture.  If thats true hopefully you have home owners insurance.  As I lie here listening to Jefferson Airplane, I realized we need to let the people know what is in front of us.  A full update of shows will come later, but for now those reading will be privy to some valuable information.  First of all, this saturday night, early sunday morning at one a.m. three lucky SoundVine members will be playing an acoustic set of three songs each and discussing the collective on air at 91.5 WPRK.  Please be sure to tune in o' ye faithful.  In our interview time on 91.5 WPRK we will be discussing the upcoming, second installment of the SoundVine Shuffle at Back Booth on February 12th 2009 in the year of our Lord.  This is exciting because once again be prepared for audience participation and an orgy of mirth!  Dancing is necessary, so bring your shoes and forget your pants, the pants will be danced off by the end of the night anyway so bottoms are optional (kind of, not really)!
"And remember what the doorman saaaaaaaaaaaid!!!!  Feeeeeed your heaaaaaad!  FEEEEEEDD  YOUR HEAAAAAAAAAD!!"

Whoa

Big tings big tings big tings goin down in the Soundvine haps.
Firstly, gettin' the screenpress made at the Arcade Sound/Glowmobile fellowship of construction and materials, international. This means shirts, cds, all sorts of craziness happening for the year.
Secondest, while we're on the Glowmobile subject:
We've got some plans for the first quarter of 2009. We've got GMB002 - JarlQ cassette tape limited to 60. Then my buddy Will Croucher's got some jams coming that will blow some minds. I'll be ready to record the 3-song Alias Punch EP, tentatively titled 'Coon Eyes, early February. Then I've got my first solo release, hopefully followed by a Yogie or a Schroed. Also, a compilation in partnership with the Arcade Sound empire.

This is the New Year

Well, now that the holidays have passed, it is time to return to business.  First, the Back Booth show on December 18, 2008, the Alias Punch CD release party, the Queues reunion and the first Sound Vine Shuffle went extremely well.  All of our bands played excellent sets while rotating every two songs.  The audience slurped it up like a baby sucking on a tit!  I was also shit faced by the end of the event which made things very strange.  I was confident and was under the impression that every woman in the club longed for me.  All of this was obviously not true when I woke up with my face buried in a plate of nacho's supreme.  Can't wait for the next one!  I had a lot of fun emceeing and would like to thank everyone for bringing me on.  The next shuffle will be Feb. 12, 2009 and is expected to be larger... because we've all started taking male enhancement pills.  Here's an update on our upcoming shows so be prepared for the demolition derby that will ensue for the last parking space around our venues if you show up late...

This is who we are, welcome : )

G'day blokes and wenches.  Welcome to the Sound Vine Collective.  We are a group of bands, musicians, artists (visual and sexual) and individuals committed to forming an entity where the fore mentioned people can come together and make themselves scene (kids) and (part of the) herd.  The primary location of our operations is in snore-lando... I mean bore-lando... I mean whore-lando... Dammit, I mean Orlando, Florida.  The goal is to coordinate gang bangs of music and art so that collectively we can perform shows and present our artists in a way that the orlando scene can be revived through cooperation instead of mass murder.  We are stronger together than apart.  There are those involved who have labels and recording equipment and the Necronomicon.  My point is basically that if we all help each other then our collective efforts will prove beneficial to all and hopefully in the end we can all come away with something more positive than what we walked in with.  Future posts will include upcoming events, and information on our members.  Until then, cheerio.
